This could be the final pre-release update before the release of 1.27 !

Posted on Aug 24, 2012 at 03:20 PM by Chris

Yet more stuff added. Prior to this, Textiles was the only single-resource wealth producer. This was great if you had extra Coal, but what about those nations with excess Oil or Metals? Now you can generate wealth by having your cities manufacture and sell Petroleum (oil) and Wrought Iron (metals). There are also more fixes for puppets and colonies, and for alliances, all based on feedback from our forum community. There are also lots of updates to allow us to get the game into the Mac App Store, which is critical to going live with the 1.27 official release.

Thanks everyone. Your help is invaluable!

So now you can get 2 million per IPU by converting 1 oil to petroleum without building anything new. This makes Food processing plant/Fishproducts undesirable. You must build a plant costing resource and 150 people and you only get 1,25 million per oil you spend... How about: food+oil=fish products=2,25 million and food+steel=canned food=2,25 million (loose the oil)

i am having a problem where whenever i have a battle the green and red bar either stays equal or has no actual connection with the way the battle is being played out. And is there a way to remove someone from your alliance if your are the alliance leader, i.e. remove Italy from the axis when playing as Germany?

We have looked at this and have some ideas for improvements. They won't make it into 1.27 but hopefully in a future release.

To a Site Admin : I am still encountering the same problem where when a battle takes place the green/red bar bares NO relevance to the strength of the opposing armies.

I have a suggestion for the editor and next patch:

Make city movement as easy as it was in the MH1/MHG editor. It is kind of a pain to scroll through a huge list of regions (to the point where my finger will fall off) and then edit the coordinates until the city is right where I want it. Would be easier to do the simple mouse-dragging of the city like we could do in the MH1 and MHG editors :)

Please add a way to change the research for all the cities at once.

Later in the game it is quite boring.

Thanks

Ever since the last sandstone update, I have not been able to log on to the multiplayer service. Internet Explorer does says "There is an ERROR in your game content. Downloading and reinstalling the game may fix the problem. You can find the current versions of Making History II on our support page," and Firefox remains stuck on the loading page wih the gray background. I have re-downloaded the entire game, and it made no difference. I had not used the service for a month, when I tried to log back on in August. In that time, I had downloaded minecraft, which I had problems with. To solve them I tried reinstalling java many times. I am not sure if that had anything to do with it or not. I also loaded Log me in Hamachi in that time. Please tell me if I can do anything to solve this.

Have you tried any other browsers besides IE, such as Firefox or Chrome?

I have tried Firefox and it has worked well for months but now it remains stuck on the black/gray "Loading" page. Chrom has never worked for me.

I managed to log on by uninstalling firefox and then reinstalling it. The multiplayer service now works for me on Firefox.

Do you have an approximate timetable for the official 1.27 release?

Delayed by a couple web issues and the fact that our web guy was on vacation! He's back now so we will try to have it out ASAP!
