One of the problems with this mod is that USSR allies with the central powers nearly every time. This shifts the balance of power to the central powers.

Hey...
This must be the best scenario I've played in a long time. I know this isn't correct when it comes to history, but could you mod some more countries to establish, for instance countries in Africa etc.? Would have been cool of you could establish nations in Europe which actually didn't have a state apparatus - Like the basque...
This scenario is great, keep up the good work.

that's my point. they always ally in the scenario! it would be more realistic if there was an event that made Russia the USSR and made peace with germany

Very good mod, however. I have some flaws, why can't I edit the mod, with the Editor?
Why is Germany is very weak? In less then one year, I lost because England did a 'Normandy' on my Lower Saxon area.
Why does England is able to quickly invade Germany when in WWI they didn't and only went to France?
Why didn't Austria help out much? I find this a huge flaw in my defeat because the AI did not help me.
Why is Germany have a very small military? When it should be bigger? Then Austria who have a much bigger military.
I lost primany because of how small the German army started, I had to fight off the French and then England steamrolled me, I am not a bad player. I can EASILY fix these errors/problems with the Editor but giving Germany a slightly bigger army.
However, when loading the Editor with DEADLOCK 2.2, it does not load.. why?

I think Odanan was able to password protect the mod so no one could edit it. I heard some guy claimed to have hacked into the mod and was then able to open it up in the editor.

They are not password protected

I was able to open the mod before, I found it really dumb to 'password' a mod, that preventing players from expanding their own thoughts and ideas into the mod, I never release any mods, but still. What is not fun to gives the Allies a little boost or make your own little WWI fun. I find it really pointless to enjoy the mod fully when you can't express your own creativity.
Also, I DISLIKE using the XML format and editing, takes to long, and if you mess up a little tiny line, you'll get the infamous ERROR 4.
Again, I find the mod awesome but adding a password to prevent players from editing it, makes me feel like the person is saying. 'I don't want people stealing my work.'.

Yes, "I don't want people stealing my work." Who would want that? And no, I didn't password protected the mod. I don't think that is possible. I don't know the reason it doesn't open in the Editor. In fact, I used the Notepad to make the mod. :D About the strenght of the German army, let's not forget the mod calls "Deadlock". Even if you are a good player, it won't be easy to win. You need to keep developing, researching and reinforcing your troops. But I agree about the military strenght of UK... I made they week in the beggining, but let's not forgett they are the rulers of a quarter of the world. Maybe that could be fixed decreasing their military policy. One more thing: I improved the difficulty of the game. And the units have more defense than attack, to reflect the stalement of the trench warfare and to make the combats take longer. This is WW1: there where no Panzer Divisions at that time!

Well, if you want to make a good mod with a lot of features you'll need to use XML since the editor is very limited in its capabilities. Also, I think code editing is interesting, but that is just personal preference.
And what's so difficult about error 4? You can use e.g. debugview to find out very precisely what went wrong and correct it and try again.

This mod is good but theres only 2 things I want to comment.
First,
Why Ottoman so weak?I know they are pretty weak at that time but not that weak.I hope you can make a patch or something and improve the Ottoman industrial capability.
Second,
Increase the movement of units.I mean sometimes it took the units almost a year to get from point A to point B.
I love this mod but I hope you can made the improvement.Thank you for making this mod, really appriciate it ^_^

The movement of the troops is because back then you didn't really have war machines, you simply had horses and men walking from point A to point B. You also most likely have very weak troops or inexperiance troops.
It is also base on how FAR you want a person to be. You're not going to quickly get men to get from Berlin to St. Peterburg in less then a week. Also, it is a stalemate war, you're not really surpose to move from point A to point B.
The Ottoman Empire is really weak, because it was collapsing, the timeframe in the war is when the Ottoman Empire was defeated in many wars and suffers many losses and was horribly outdated.
In real life, the Ottoman Empire could not win the war, the army was large but it was very outdated, weak, it lost the war and broke apart.

I know but waiting your troop to get from point A to point B in a game just make it a lot less fun because most of the time you just wait and wait and wait some more.At least cut the traveling time half because even tough it's WW1 era the movement of armie are faster than that.
For the Ottoman, yeah it is true what you said but remember this, the Ottoman manage to push back the invasion of the Allied forces from their land during WW 1 which clearly shows that the Ottoman are not as weak as shown in this mod.

The goal of this scenario is to wait, built up of higher techs, and lead an offense. Your goal is to lead an defensive-offensive war, not offensive-defensive war. Also, the location might stalls and the amout of men, if you have a lot of artillery, inexperiance troops, the terrian, etc. It'll be hard to move, also if you're invading Russian, from the Northern sector where Geogia is, it is mainly of mountains and other area, this will stall or deadly slowed down your troops.
The Ottoman are still weak, the armies only won a few victories before losing, you'll have a much harder time playing as Ottoman Empire.
