Ottoman Empire is weak, but I managed to end the game as the most powerful country. It is hard as hell, but it's possible.

Yes, if I resume my work on this mod, I will make the territory upgrades to take longer.

I really love this scenario ! The orginal WW2-Engine is very detail-deep to the Beginn of WW1 converted / downgraded. Every flag, special item, the technology and the spirit of this period is really realistic. Huge Respect to Odanan for this large workload ! :-)
But I got 2 Things to ask / critize :
- How can you use the chemical weapons ? For sure - none of us will do this in real life ! But this is just game and like the atomic bomb in the WW2-Period every big boy want to play with his toys, right ?
- How can I get the research for 'fast battleships' finished ? I use the necessary IPs, but it runs over the desired Research-Points. And runs and runs and runs... Like a never ending journey. Am I doing something wrong or is this a general bug, which should be fixed in one of the next upgrades one day ?
Best regards from Braunschweig/Germany, Olaf aka G.Nom

The amount of work in this scenario is amazing. By far the best scenario I have played.

I'm thinking about making a "Deadlock: Board Wargame", which is basically a cross of my Deadlock and Board Wargame mods.
Features:
- Starting date of 1915.
- 8 playable and balanced nations in 2 alliances (The Entente: France, UK, Russia and Italy; The Central Powers: Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria). Perfect for multiplayer.
- 10 cities for each nation.
- Only 2 types of units for each unit "branch" (Infantry, Cavalry, Mobile Infantry, Artillery, Fighter, Bomber, Aerostat, Carrier, Battleship, Cruiser, Destroyer, Submarine), with 1 unlocked and the other to be researched.
- Simplified research tree.
- The action will be only around Europe (with small parts of North Africa, Middle-East and Western Russia territories).
- The rest of the territories will be part of a giant "Neutral" nation, with no benefits for conquering.
- Minimal resource management.
EDIT: Due to the lack of interest of the community, this scenario will not be done anymore.

Today I started a match as UK and ended in spending all my afternoon playing.
It turned that I decided to make one last release of the mod, with some minor stuff I sporadicly added since last August. I hope you guys are still willing to play Deadlock. ;)

Great mod (probably the best for MHG), but there's one detail I don't like: China and all Chinese warlords use the same map colour and flag. Did you do that on purpose? And would you include new flags for those nations if I deliver those (maybe for MH2 Deadlock)?

Do you have the flags?? Yes! I would make a release just for adding them.

This is the best mod I have ever played. I did not have as much fun with MH in months. Well done, Odanan!

I like it, except I'm a big German fan. And I really feel outmatched in this scenario. I must divide my units in 3 seperate forces. 1. To stop the nasty Brits from invading me near Denmark. 2. To keep the dang Russians from taking East Prussia. 3. To stop the dirty French from pushing into the Alsac-Lorace. (however you spell it) So this makes it tedious to keep my country from going belly up.
It seems I will have to do some of my own editing. P.S. Awesom moding :)

Fighting in 2 or more fronts is the general's nightmare. Germany starts the mod (as in real history) with the upper hand, but it won't be easy to knockout 3 big enemies like UK, France and Russia. The best strategy is attack in the first turn and try to conquest all French European regions the sooner as you can. But the starting units only won't be enough for this - you need to keep reinforcing and researching.

Thanks for the tip, and yes I find it easier if I build up my forces before attacking anyone.
And if I start loosing I can just save, reload the scenario as either France, Britian, or Russia and just delete a crapload of my forces, and then save, reload back as Germany and ta-da, major advantage. - (Yes, it is cheating)

Guys, thanks to the huge positive feedback, I'm resumed to work in the mod.
Next update will include:
- minor balancing changes.
- new 3d models (new armored cars, new planes, new ships).
- new flags for the Chinese warlords.
- hopefully, WW1 era civil wars in China implemented.
- new nations (East Turkestan, Nationalist China, Imperial China).
- additional new art.
