I was checking the Deadlock's readme and realized it's been almost 1 years I released the last version (2.2). Damn, it's been a long time...
I wanted to release the ultimate version, but I decided to release the 2.3 as it is right now.
Version 2.3 (to be released July 5, 2010)
- 3d art: added new Armored Car model for USSR, the Russo-Balt.
- 3d art: added new Armored Car model for Germany (and Central Powers), the Erhardt.
- 3d art: added new Armored Car model for France and Russia, by AngryGoblin.
- 3d art: added new Armored Car model for Italy, by AngryGoblin.
- 2d art: new loading screen.
- 2d art: replaced USA, Transcaucasia, Portugal and Montenegro roundels.
- 2d art: ww1 era flags and roundels for Afghanistan, Nejd (Saudi Arabia) and Mongolia.
- code: balance changes.
- code: replaced Fascism ideology by Absolutism (suggestion by Leonaru)
- changed some countries' ideologies from Authoritarian to Absolutism.
- 2d art: added Chinese warlords' flags (based on the Leonaru's flags).
- 2d art: replaced the 'fasci' icon by the 'fist' (leftover art by Muzzy Lane).
- 2d art: replaced the 'White House dome' icon by the 'English parliament' (idem).

Absolutist states should be:
Russia Ottoman Empire Nejd Afghanistan Mongolia Imperial China
Those are the countries with no parliament or a very weak one.

Was Russia still absolutist at 1914? Wasn't the Tsar in Russia giving some powers to the people to calm them down?

Yes, but the Tzar closed the Duma (Russian parliament) several times plus the Russian Consitution said:
Article 4 states: "The supreme autocratic power is vested in the Emperor of all the Russias. It is God's command that his authority should be obeyed not only through fear but for conscience's sake."
That's not Absolutism like the one Louis XIV performed, but still beyond other "normal" authoritarian states like Germany or South American dictatorships.

This is a very nice scenario! I saw the new ideology in v2.3 and I think it's very good idea. I think the canoons should be pulled by horses, not trucks, but that's not a problem. I will vote 5/5 :)
