Rule two:

Just please avoid derogatory language, insults, or ad hominem attacks. Avoid thread spamming--jumping into many threads and repeating the same message. Honest participation is also encouraged. If someone rebuts your argument with logic and reason, its polite to acknowledge it. Users uninterested in maintaining polite discourse will be banned.

But he went into a lot of old and unused threads and posted random junk, like I said before, I had trouble telling what thread was a real-deal thread and what wasn't.

Just to add, I've been here as teh_pwner since the Summer of 2006 (I was kind of immature then, but then again, I still am now)

And so it has. This is why when I look back at people I've banned I rarely have regrets. If "Makarov" was really contrite, he could have continued posting as Master Chief or "Makov" and no problem if he stopped repeating the behavior that got him banned in the first place. Instead, his behavior only got worse as he tried to weasel out by using his alternate accounts.

For reference, if you post with an account that has an obscured IP, note this rule:

RULE #6: Users who have been banned for cause, who return with alternate usernames or who use software that changes IP's will, upon discovery, have all posts created by them deleted, and in most cases, threads they initiate will be deleted entirely. As this forum is now an integrated part of a commercial site selling products, repeat offenders may be subject to legal action.

I was Mustang317. I wasn't very active as much as I am now. I like the new one better but the poll feature on the old one was intresting.

We miss it too -- adding a poll feature to the new site is on our list. Now that we have the "who's online" implemented it's closer to the top!

Well ... soon this topic is unnecessary because those who were from the old forum is long gone, or they are not as much actice any more! There are of couse a couple who was on the old forum, but they wasnt active as much before as they are now.

OR ... is it stil some of my old palls who still is active ... who still writes on this wonderful forum ... and just like me resently: Come back! :D

There are still a good few of people who are still active. But now most of the people who are on the forums are new guys, well, they didn't experience the old forums.

Time flys by, doesnt it? Now almost all old guys are gone.

Me (TGM), TehBoss, Radeon, Makarovv, Cavetroll, Alfred, Lightinfa, Odanan, teh_pwner, RedPlanet, agga, valerii, FDR and Ian ... the old guys.

Lets hope that most of these guys, my "friends" keep staying here. This forum simply depends on us, we made this forum. The big topics, the hot and interesting debates. Not this new, massive-wall-of text-debates were nerds and experts start to taking over. We were the inner core of the forum. Now some new people are a lot like us, funny, hot livered, but yet ... its not the same thing any more.

(And I dont want to see a member on this forum commentating and think now that just because they have like 400 posts, they are an "old guy" here. We others were hot shots on the OLD forum. Some of us are still hot shots. The biggest guys here. I maybe dont have many posts, but if you look closely ... you will see that on either, - General Discussion, - WW2, - Other Games, or - General History ... the topic with highest amounts of views are mine!)

Any way ... as I said, I hope that many of the old guys keep being active on this forum. Or even returns to us!

Most of the people you list are not gone, at least not banned or removed. It's natural in any community that some people move on or stop posting and new people join in. After all, you are one of those people. You haven't posted in months, and now here you are back again! Of course it's not the same. It will be different 6 months from now. That's just the way most forums are. I suspect we'll see a return of some of them when something new is released, like an editor, or some new content. In the meantime, we welcome our new members and keep the welcome mat out for any of our older members who haven't been around
