I know on the last forum there was a thread for E: TW but I wanted to know what people thought of the series in general. I think the series is fantastic (although I hear Empire isn't so great), Rome is probably my favorite, although now that I've downloaded The Third Age: Total War mod for Medieval 2, it looks like Medieval 2 is going to become my favorite. The first Total War game I played was the first Medieval, I liked it but I was younger at the time and thought it was too in depth. Any one old enough to remember/play Shogun?

i once play empire total war i was prussia against saxony. they had like a few thousand men and i had 500 men or so and i had to fight we had a 30 minute battle real time! not one shot was fired it was all bayonet and I won

Very nice, once while I was playing Rome I had probably 300-350 men versus around 900 men. I managed to take out the enemy general with light horsemen and we were able to split the enemy army into little chunks of resistance in the cramped "city" streets. I managed to kill off about 800 men losing only 35ish. (or somewhere around that number)

cool and with mine i only lost about 100 men while they lost all but maby 4 of them and i charged there cannons and they just stood as my men bayoneted them

I love Medival 2: Kingdom's its realy fun Once I had like 400 and my enemy like 1200, its was hard but I won. But I had like 26 men left lol!

Though Empire : Total War was not popular is it definitely my favorite despite its rocky beginning with bugs.

I think the game was not given a completely fair chance.

Everyone's qualms seem to be with Grand Campaign, but your preaching to the choir with that stuff for me as MP is always number one for me. The only thing I wish to see are more classic battle maps. And I will be picking up the standalone expansion coming out as well.

Oh god, i hope they make more battle maps. Battle mode and MP were my favorite features Empire offered.

Grand Campaign was alright, and Road to Independence was alright aswell.

i love the total war series, i started with shogun ;) i definitly would say empire is the best even though i have so many issues with it - but if i got them all cleared without a doubt it would be best, till then im still raving out hard on the owl medieval 2...

I don't know, if we talk about best base game, Rome wins out to me.

Granted the Total War serious still has ways to go and much to expand on, but Empire : Total War was there first attempt at something like that with some very big hits and some misses.

Anyone played the new update for E:TW online?! NEW MAPS GALORE, I actually enjoy this game more so then ever before. Online is 100% better then it was, and it was great before. Anyone interested in playing online with me on the new maps PM me!
