I don't think that 1 tank division is 500 tanks. Maybe 100, max!

check it again, I added something that Ian wrote in the guide why it's 500.
If Germany had around 1000 tanks in the battle of France in 1940, so they had just two tank divisions?

Well, in game scale yes. But in real life they had 2,445 tanks, im not sure how many divisions that was though. Army Group B had 14 armies included in it in 1940.
well actually just 1800 and the allies had around 2200

Actually no. Germany did however have less tanks, they had about 2,400 and the allies had about 3,000.

In the book "World War II Stats and Facts", it says that infantry divisions varied in size depending upon nationality, purpose, and time period. Standard German infantry divisions had a strength of 17,000 men, panzer-grenadier divisions were 13,900 strong, German mountain divisions were 13,000 strong, German paratrooper divisions were 15,800 strong, Italian infantry divisions were between 7,000 and 11,000 strong, US Infantry divisions were 14,000 strong, French infantry divisions were 17,500 strong, Japanese infantry units were 20,000 strong, Hungarian infantry divisions were 11,000 strong, Romanian infantry divisions were 17,000 strong, US airborne infantry divisions were 8,500 strong, US marine corps divisions were 17,500 strong, British infantry divisions were 13,000-19,000 strong, USSR rifle division was 9,500 strong, ect...
Is that cheese?
If it aint Deutsch it aint meuch.
I would love to see that back in mh2, that some country's have larger/stronger infantry/tanks etc then other nations =]
Or is that already so? =O
