He's saying a guy who had committed warcrimes for against Serbia worked with the Italian government or was pardoned because he helped fight the Germans or something and that's why Serbians don't like the Allies.

What about the Serbs in WW2 who committed Genocide against Croatians or again in the 90's if he is looking for me to feel sympathy to Serbs then he needs to look elsewhere.

firestone, where are you pointing at? grevious5226's explanation made some sense, but I don't get what you are trying to achieve? Just raise discussion?

Here's a alternate attempt at translation:
No one is oppressed anymore except Serbs.
He then goes to loosely "describe" the genocide of Serbians by Germans/Italians/Croatians with some vague references to a concentration camp (presumably Jasenovac ).
The double standard of Italy after joining the allies made the allies never prosecute the warcrimes of Pietro Bodoglio (should be Badoglio)
Incomprehensible phrase
(Serbs?) are the lonely oppressed people in the world, I'm not with or against
That being said it doesn't make any sense to use Pietro Badoglio as a example of a crimes of genocide against Serbs considering Pietro Badoglio was guilty of genocide against Ethiopians and not Serbs
Pietro Badoglio wasn't prosecuted for warcrimes because he betrayed the axis, and that was good enough for the allies
And if you want the honest answer...... Serbs are oppressed because they are nationalists.

really, who is oppressing the Serbs? they live in a free country now, choose their own leaders. they have territorial issues and a complicated ethno-geographic situation, but are they really oppressed?
or are you talking about Serb minorities in places like Kosovo? in this case, most Serbs aren't oppressed by anyone, and the Kosovar Serbs still have it easier than a lot of people in the world (though a difficult situation) - Carl is kind of right, nationalistic minorities tend to bring hurt down on themselves.

I stopped reading. Carl this is actually pretty offensive to me, I am 1/2 Croatian and your saying that Croatians committed genocide is absolutely disgusting and untrue. Especially since the Serbs are the real ones who committed genocide in WW2 and in the Yugoslav war. Please get your facts right, just because a concentration camp was established BY GERMANS in Nazi Occupied Croatia that makes them the ones to commit genocide? How about the mass graves of Croatians that are still being found today? I honestly think you need to think before you write. I understand you are entitled to your opinion but this is downright not even near to be true or correct. By your standards you are saying Poland committed genocide in WW2 when the concentration camps were made there?
And no they aren't being oppressed unless you call a democratically elected president oppression then sure you are right my man.

The Allies let all kinds of bad types slide around after the end of the war. 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend' line was applied liberally at that point. Operation Paperclip was one of many plans used by the Americans and current/former allies to bring in Nazi scientists and collaborators who had special 'talents' to offer. It's been said that former Nazis helped re-organize the KGB, trained terrorist/freedom fighters in the Middle East and Africa and helped run governments in South America. Hell, Wernher von Braun almost single-handly birthed the US space program.

I think he just doesn't like the Allies or something so he's just trying to rally some other anti allied people?
OR perhaps he's using the example of that Pietro fellow as a wider display on the problems that the Allies caused many nations, including Serbia. Maybe through mistreatment or refusal to try all warcriminals, instead only the ones deemed as true political enemies, not taking into account the feelings of the people who were being killed? And maybe it is one of the lonely cousins of those abused by the Allies and still abused today(Creation of Kosovo, bombing of Belgrade)
Just throwing stuff out there, it's getting confusing.

About that the allies invaded Italy to help the Italian people before the Yugoslavian people are not so strange at all. Italy were an axis, an ally to Germany, and were much closer (geographic to Germany) than Yugoslavia. I dont think they choose Italy before Yugoslavia because what a single gang leader did, more of what could gain the strategical pint of the allies army's! And I dont think that the Serbian people are oppressed at all. They have it well, if you compare to other nations and people!

Other than my statement "Serbs are oppressed because they are nationalists.", everything I wrote about Serbs was my attempt at translating firestones message.
When I said that I meant oppressed by Ottoman Empire, Austria Hungry, Nazis, communists, and then NATO, not by Croatians. Serbs and Croatians are guilty of genocide against each other. That's not exactly a oppressor oppressee relation
I apologize if I have offended you, I mean no disrespect to you or Croatians. You are right though that I need to think more about what I right. I tend not to explain my points sufficiently leading to misunderstandings....That and I tend to do things like try to translate messages that include obviously false statements like "No one is oppressed anymore except Serbs" without disclaimers that I don't believe it

While throwing the term 'genocide' around is not very accurate, to be fair the Croatians are just as guilty of ethnic cleansing as the Serbs during the breakup of Yugoslavia.

No offense:There is a book, that you can buy.
This book portrays a shocking record of mass slaughter and massive persecution of the Serbian Orthodox population in the Nazi puppet state of Croatia in the years of 1941 - 1945. In this mass extermination effort some 750,000 Serbs - men, women and children - perished, along with most of their clergymen and their churches. The Jews although much less numerous than the Serbs met the same fate. These systematic and brutal massacres were at times even too much for the Nazis to tolerate. The perpetrators of these crimes are the Croatian Ustashi, a nazi-fascist movement under the leadership of the notorious Ante Pavelich. In proportion to the population, these Nazi puppets exceeded even what the Nazis themselves had done in Germany. And those that they did not exterminate, they sought - by fire and sword - to convert to Roman Catholicism.
The revolting fact is that the Ustashi were actively aided in their diabolical work of extermination and persecution by sizable segments of the Croatian Catholic clergy, many of whose members were also members of the Ustashi organization. This is not a blind charge by the author, for he cites names and places, frequently using their own sources. This book is strong medicine, and any one who reads it must be prepared to come away shocked and deeply disturbed.
I don't know if this book is legit or not but you should look up some stuff.
