Most of the time, when I sue for peace with a nation I am at war with, I select "Cede Occupied Territory" as a demand. I assumed that this means that the enemy territory which I am currently occupying becomes my territory. I was apparently mistaken in this assumption. Almost every time, when I select "Cede Occupied Territory" as a DEMAND, all the territory I am occupying immediately goes back to the original owner. Is this how it's supposed to work? Am I doing something wrong?

Did you select concessions rather than demands? If you selected concessions, you are saying that you are giving up all territory that the enemy occupies to them, which of course means that you give up your gains.

I made that exact mistake the first time I played. Oops.

No, I'm almost positive that I'm selecting demands.

This happens almost invariably, and I'm becoming extremely frustrated. I'm at the end of my wits. Someone please help.

This is very odd, I suppose you could report it to Tech Support though, and if nothing comes of that, you could reinstall and see if that does anything.

I think it won't work if you also select some concessions.

Yeah, you can't have both Demands and Concessions. Only Demands or Concessions by themselves.

In other words, you cant have both a demand and a concession.
