Thanks. Unfortunetly, now there are no more threads to get into deep discussion about.
But you definitley should try some of the WW1 ones. I highly suggest it.
You should start a thread then ; ]
With WW1 I can never really read much about it as I find the stationariness of the Western Front bores me compared to the fluidity of WW2. I am interested in the opening and ending of WW1 mind and the use of new technology and weapons mind.

I understand what you mean about the stationary fronts. My favorite part of WW1 has always been the battle in the sky. It was the first real time that airplanes were used as weapons, and tatics were formed. Obviously, some great flyers were born because of that war. In fact, I believe there is a MajorLufbery on this forum, who (I am assuming) is using the name of Raoul Lufbery. Just one of the many greats.

One of my favourite bands (mastodon) have a 15 minute song about the Red Baron. I myself enjoy land based warfare loads then a passing interest in naval battles. With air forces I only really enjoy reading up on their involvement in conjecture with the army with the exception of helicopters as their use tactically is very interesting indeed. I also find interest in looking at the research and technology of weaponry. Obviously the most interesting war is world war 2 and german weaponry and tactics xD
The German Panzer and Luftwaffe aces of world war 2 racked up some insane amount of kills Such as the gunner Kurt Knispel destroying 168 tanks at least although most reckon an amount of 195 as he always backed down when another gunner claimed a kill and the Luftwaffe ace Erich Hartmann have 352 aerial victories

352 kills is ridicoulous, although it was on the Russian front, so pherhaps it is understandable. And as far as tanks go, that is amazing. How you could have so much skill, and luck combined, is beyond me.
