What if Switerland had become militarily involved in the war?

It would have become another German territory I bet

Switzerland was militarily involved in the war

They shot down planes that entered their airspace and held the pilots until the end of the war

The U.S. civilian bombing campaign also accidentally targeted Switzerland on several occasions

On 4 March 1945 six USAAF B-24H bombers hit Zurich with 12.5 tons of high explosives and 12 tons of incendiaries resulting in seven fatalities. The intended target had been Aschaffenburg (300 km north). The six bombers had gone off course and believed they were bombing Freiburg. At virtually the same time, other bombers dropped 12.5 tons of high explosives and five tons of incendiaries on Basel.

But Switerland never officially entered the war, right?

Switzerland never declared war on either side, if that's what you are asking

That is exactly what I'm saying.

What if, for some reason, the United Kingdom, rather than Germany, started World War 2 in Europe?

What if China fell to Japan?

What if the "Phoney War" went on longer?

What if the "Bismark", had not been sunk?

"The British sunk the Bismark" should really be "The British did enough damage to the Bismark to convince the Germans to scuttle it" because that's what actually happened.

Although that does give the What If question: If the Germans were prevented from scuttling the Bismark, would the British have sunk it or captured it?

What if the British never developed radar?

What if Austria was never absorbed by Germany?

What if the Allies declared war on Germany with the capture of Austria?

What if the United States entered the war sooner?

What if Hitler stayed in Austria and somehow managed to restore the Austro-Hungarian Empire?

Then my "Hitler For King of Austria-Hungary" T-Shirts would actually make some sort of sense.

What if the 101st Airborne wasn't able to take and hold Carentan linking up the Omaha/Utah sectors and German armor made it to the beach at Utah?

D-Day would've been a total mess.

You know, I think there are three "What if's" threads being run right now. It's kind of aggravating switching between all three.

What if the Soviet Union built the first atomic bomb?

What if the Bismarck never sunk?

What if trains were never invented!

What if RedPlanet hadn't posted the same thing twice?

What if Italy had waited until it was ready before it entered World War 2?

(I can't remember whether or not this one was posted before, but I'll do it anyway)

What if the Spanish Civil War never happened?

What if Spain had decided to ally with Germany?
