DISCUSSIONS
If you look at Gamersgate web site for upcoming releases, says MHII will be released tomorrow. Is this a mistake or is it really coming out tomorrow?

Its definitely not coming out tomorrow
Its probably a good idea to ignore all release dates until Muzzy Lane officially announces one
Various websites are apparently making them up for whatever reason

Yep, looked like a mistake. Now they are saying 2/25 (Amazon says end of March), but guessing that is wrong too. Pardon me for asking, but why has all the status of this game gone very quiet? I originally remember the devs being very confident in a 2/2 release now there is no news whatsover. Is everything OK? Any serious issues with the game?

Release dates aren't usually accurate guesses
For example, Muzzy Lane's first release date was probably chosen as they wanted to get it out in time for the Christmas shopping season of 2009.
The February release date was chosen when they realized they couldn't make the Fall 09 date. It probably was also a hopeful guess.
There is nothing unusual about a game being delayed. Things just take longer to implement than people expected months ago
Presumably they haven't announced a new date as they don't want to disappoint the customers if it turns out they can't meet the release date

I agree. I think that this time the developers will anounce a new release date when they are shore (sure) they will make it.

plugging away
hmmm, don't like the sound of that. i'd rather hear "hard at it", "working feverishly", "putting on the finishing touches", "almost ready to alpha test"....things like that. plugging away is what i did at the last job i couldn't stand :-)

OK, how about "testing, balancing, working on performance and just about to start beta"?

also...i seem to recall reading that you folks won't/don't release a demo until the full game is ready to ship. is that correct or might we get a demo in the near future whilst you put the finishing touches in the game?

well thanks redindus69 but i must ask with what authority do you speak? don't mean to be rude, but i don't see any "i'm a developer" or "i work for Muzzy Lane" or "i'm dave" credentials associated with your avatar...3/1 is monday and i think i'll wait for dave or ralph to tell me before i believe it...dave? ralph?

nope, unless it came from the mouth (or keyboard) of Chris, Dave, or Ralph, I would not accept any release date elsewhere.

Last post was a Big improvement chris. Still, I like to know on how you seeing the beta taking place. You already stated that the community will be involved in the process. Could you tell us what that will mean specificly? About who will be able to participate in the beta testing, or how much work has to be done/how many people will be asked to test? Or...when will beta testing start. 'Just about' suggests no more then a month from now.
I might be asking much more then you are willing to answer, but I am really curious about it. Or you could tell us in vage way when we will get some more information about the subject... :)

Retailers seem to simply lie about release dates. Amazon says it will be available on March 30, and I have a feeling no one from Muzzy Lane told them so.

you can call it lying of course, but imagine you are Amazon or some other retailer. You will be selling the game, but you have no idea what the release date will be, so you guess for it. It is weird too if you do not give a release date, customers (which are not so commited to the upcoming games as we are) don't like to see no release date.
