Which is your favourite strategy game?

IMO, there is no "Best" strategy game, each is good and bad in its own way, some will be better than others but I don't think any one game can take the cake as best.

In that case the Total war games take the cake for me, very epic scale and a whole lot of fun

Everyone is going to hate me for this, but I actually don't usually like RTS's, the only one that kinda appealed to me was the World in Conflict game. I only really like grand strategy, and of those, I only like MH.

Yeah, I'm not a huge RTS fan either, I enjoy playing a few, but I like turn-based better.

Same. Even though I do play some RTS games and enjoy them, I really prefer turn-based. It gives you as much time as you need to look over your options and to plan out your decision. And once you figure out what you're going to do, assuming the turn limit (If any) allows it, you have plenty of time to do it. That's really what I like.

If you guys like Risk (for example that particular mod), and turn based games, and you want to play it online against real people, I suggest you look at www.conquerclub.com. It is all kinds of maps an game modes you can play. It is turn based.

So, I think you might like it.

I like a few RTS games, like Axis vs Allies, Commander At War and World In Conflict. But Turned based games is much more fun. MH is the best, then RISK, then ... I think I like Might Of Magics! :D

warcraft 3. i don't actually play the default game. i go onto custom games and really, in custom games i could do anything. i've played RPG's that shouldn't even exist within the game engine. but they do.

Nah, I'm more of a RTS gamer myself. Age of Empires, Starcraft, Age of Mythology, all that fun stuff. MH is pretty good of course.

Sometimes it's that time before you hit the "end turn" button that can save you from defeat.

RTS's are challanging because they force you to make quick decisions in the midst of all the fighting. One wrong move can cost you alot of men.

Yeah, I enjoyed playing Halo Wars, one of the few RTS' on the 360 that I enjoy playing.
