My favourites are: all AoEs especially no.2, and I quite liked mythology aswell, total war series, favourite one is Medieval 1, you should look into it, region to region instead of movement range is what I love, MH naturally, Spore, didn't really like coh, red alert series is ok, love civ 3 and kinda civ 4 cant wait for civ 5, like DoW series except the new one which ruined the game but not making it mass armies from future go apeshit and kill each other.
In order to know how to use free will, we must first know how to fight for it.
My favorites would be Codename Panzers, Blitzkrieg 2, Railway Tycoon, COH and MOO.

What did you think of the first Blitzkrieg? I liked that more then Blitzkrieg 2. Blitzkrieg 2 seemed to arcadey to me

I have never played it. Not sure if i could get hold of a copy now. Talking about arcadey Codename Panzers Cold War was a real let down for me after I and II.

You can get definitely get it online and in some shops although this is in the UK concerning selling in shops. It's a lot better then Blitzkrieg 2 and some of the expansions like the one concerning Stalingrad are excellent. The best part is as Germany getting King Tigers and reaping a whirlwind of destruction. There is also something akin to a boss battle at the end between the Panzer VIII Maus which you control against the Allies (American) T28. The graphics are better aesthetically as well and suit the game really well. I advise you get Blitzkrieg and maybe some expansions and have a lot of fun :P
I have only played Codename Panzers 1 and enjoyed it thoroughly. I was thinking of eventually getting the second one and the cold war one but after what you said I doubt I will be getting the cold war one now
