Scenarios YOU Will or might make for MHII
said on Mar 01, 2010 at 09:20 PM

If downloading and finding user-made scenarios in a folder is easier, then I shall make or try to make a Longer and diffrent 1938 appeasments, in which Czecslovakia is able to use its army better and with USSR siding with the little nation. (France does not join the war, thinking Russia will deal with it, but Italy retaliates to the war for CzechSlovakia by invading Yugoslavia with its improved and Ready Army and leads to a war with france (both France and Italy will have to use the right tactic to win because i shall make there armies even but i will spread them out into diffrent places) and in China, Japan faces the nation in a hard war and soon gets better results, especialy since the USA used its army to start a nation similar to Germany but Mexico retaliates by taking some regions that where once part of it, and i will make Mexico, Czechslovakia, and italy with better armys and manpower. so what do you guys think?

Depending on how good the first one is (and how easy the new editor will be to use) I'll make a follow up to The War for Oil, I've got big plans for it.

I'll probably make a version of Southern Star for it, perhaps also a TL-191 (especially if I am able to port the graphics work I have done over on my yet uncompleted MHI version).

A 1936 scenario that attempts to

A.) Get the ai nations to act and react in realistic manners in according to what would really have happened in real life.

B.) Force human players to make things happen. i.e. Annexing Austria doesn't magically happen for human players in 1938 unless you make it happen

C.) Events to model treaties, economic deals, expedition forces, gold plundering, stealing of nuclear secrets etc.

D.) Calibrate the game values and change the research tree to be as realistic as possible

I may do the same for WW1, Napoleonic wars, and the 1860-1870s.

If I can handle the scenario editor, I'd make one based on a fictional story. I'm an alternate history fan and think custom MH II scenarios would be perfect for it. Some examples that come to mind could be the geopolitical situation as described in such settings as 'Red Dawn', Philip K. Dick's 'The Man in the High Castle' or the world as imagined by George Orwell in '1984.'

Depending on how moddable the game is, I would also love to see some attempts at a more fantastic scenario, like a steampunk style world war XD

Im going to make The Great War 2 for MHII. It definately wont be as sh*tty as the first versions XD.

I was going to make a version of my America Divided and I also was thinking of doing TL-191 too. Maybe we could work together on it.

america divided is quite a good scenario, and if its made for mh2. then im going to make a ww1 version of it (with Germany, and the kingdom of italy, and whats o ever.)

I really don't get the point of making scenarios that take place during WWII unless you do something like Ian did and completely remake the game.

Some people liking staying more historical and not sure how many scenarios are going to be in MHII but MH only had what 5? So five timestamps starting from 1936 to 1945 (33 if you play Gold). There a lot of different spots where you can use to try to make different paths. Like Battle of Bulge, Stalingrad, Battle of Midway, etc. That does involve work, you have to add/move units and if your good enough you can make war plan, scripts and invasion triggers for countries.

I like playing the crazy completely off the wall stuff (like my own scenario) but sometimes it's just as fun to see what would happen if instead of just attacking Pearl Harbor if you invaded Hawaii. And that's more fun if you start at 1941 instead of 1936.

A scenario who takes place in 2100. The world is on a total war were all borders are different than the old one and every one have mass destruction weapons!
And like 40 new countrys!

My scenarios will be improved versions of my old mods:

And some new scenarios:

  • Fallen - based on the book The Man in the High Castle;
  • a Cold War mod;
  • an expanded WW2 scenario.

The scenario I most enjoyed was Dawn of Steel. I forgot who made the mod but the added techs gave a whole new depth to the game itself.

I would also like to see another version of America divided. In most scenarios all the action takes place around Europe and its fun to see some battles taking place at the same time in the Americas.

I wish I had the computer knowledge myself to make my own, but since I dont I must say I've very much enjoyed your guy's work. Thanks for keeping the game intresting and fun.
