I would like to know if Making History 2 will take into account seasonal and urban settings when dealing with conflict between two armies. For example pushing an offensive in winter would be much more difficult than in summer. A good example of this was on the Eastern front between this Russians and Germans. If it had not been for the Russian winter the Germans may well have taken Moscow. So will attacking armies fight at a disadvantage during poor weather?
Secondly some cities or urban areas are so large they take up most of the area they occupy. Would these large urban areas act as a natural defense? Another example would be Stalingrad on the eastern front. They Russians could not hold back the Germans on open ground but when pushed into street to street battles they eventually wore them down.

No city combat affects but weather will be a factor.

I thik that you should ad a Winter Warfare tech, along with Amfibious Assult, Jungle Warfare and Mountain Warfrae!
Cause I think that the winter skills the siberians had in the battle of Moscow were so much better and effective than the German Mountain training in the Alps.
So ..... will it be a Winter Warfare tech in the research tool!?

The idea of a winter warfare tech is good. I think though before they keep adding more and more to the game they should simply give a logistics, unit performance, and morale penalty for fighting in certain situations. Like fighting during winter in tundra, during summer in desert, or even spring in jungle when it rains the most.

Right now we don't have a Winter Warfare tech. It might be something to consider.

look i know this issue has come up a bunch of times, and their have been a number of reasons against it, but i still just don't see how a great WWII came can ignore urban warfare.
i suggest that a province with a city will receive a defensive bonus based on whether or not the player has researched certain "urban warfare" techs, and also based on the size and industrial level of the city.

you know, any side could use a city to their advantage. I say that having a city in a region should give everyone a penalty and simply make the fight last longer (everyones taking cover)

Well maybe in future mods of the game or maybe in MH3 cities that you control will give a natural fortification bonus. Thus making a major city more difficult to take control of with ground troops. Could you imagine a German or Italian army trying to take over the city of New York? The city itself takes up most if not all the territory around it. Just something for the developers to maybe think about in the future.

When you say that, how often do you consider it. Really.

Only when I think the suggestion is something I'd potentially support.

A winter warfare and desert warfare is actually much more important than amfibious assults and jungle warfare for the European countries. Like Germanys Rommel was an expert on deserts , just as General Zjukov could use the Russian winter in 1941!
