A FAQ or How-To Guide?

Is there a FAQ or how-to guide someplace? Other modding forums I've participated in often have a few guides that folks have created in their endeavors at modding.
I could really use a guide for how to add units & setup sprites for them. Or to add new sprites to the game and how to associate them to new unit types. Either way, I expect its much the same thing.

Sorry - for whatever reason the sticky at the top of this forum's link was an error the first time I tried it. I assumed that it was a dead link, to something that had been taken down/moved/etc.
But when I tried it today, I was able to get to the old forums, and there's a ton of info there. :D
