The main problem in multiplayer games is when the human players resign from the game. If he lead weak nation that is no problem, the problem is when he is leader a big powerful nation - his neighbours have a free gift (undefended region are easy to conquest. (You can imagine it: what happen if three players play 1941 (USA, USSR, Germany), and Germany attacks USSR, and leader of USSR... leave the game.

My proposal: If human player doesn't do three turns, AI is leader and keeps treaties, builds economy, attacks enemies with max effect. After unplayed 3 turns, the human player is permanently banned to join this game, his nation have AI as leader with revision of treaties, technology, power etc.

Bad idea, many times in a game there literally is nothing to do but wait for so many turns, you cant just boot a guy for not having anything to do. I don't see any problems with a person leaving, if they leave, they have left, what's the big deal?

I think the ai should take over 5 turns after player leaves so if his game crashes he can get back in but if he just left ai will play and game wont be ruined

Once again, I think bad idea, I don't think there should be any kicking factor after so many turns.

Imagine that you and your friend are in the alliance and keep the world's balance of power against the three other players. Your ally stop to play (because he does not want to play longer). His empire is not further developed, does not cooperate. And his army does not respond for enemy attacks, because nobody does manage it. The enemy will attack him and easily conquest - you lost the game. A colleague who left the game do not destroy the fun for you only, but for your opponents too.

Summary I mean: do you not want to play longer? OK, but do not destroy fun for the other players.

If the guy wants to leave, he'll leave, and placing a timer that kicks him after three turns of not doing anything does exactly what your scenario above poses.

What if the human player is taking a 5 minute long dump. That means that he will miss 5 turns. Seems a little harsh.

I have a better idea. How about we have an idle option? When he player says he's idle, he is controlled by the AI. And you go auto idle after 3 turns.\

IMO my idea is better ;)

I agree with Boss, mainly because I know just how many times he goes to the bathroom in a game ;)

The only problem with that is sometimes AI are stupid and ruin your operations.

maybe there should be a option that a player can select before he leaves a game that allows the ai to take over.
