Worse more is when you have autosave on for every 10 turns. Your like, next autosave I'll stop, ok maybe the one after, ok let me just see if I can take this region by next autosave, oh wait what China declared war on me, I'll show them.. OH GOD DAMN IT, ITS 4AM already, have to wake up in 4 hours but must defeat china, argh.

Lmao today I was at 448 turns or so and said I will stop at 500 then I thought I may as will carry on a bit longer then my next milestone was turn 600 xD

Lmao today I was at 448 turns or so and said I will stop at 500 then I thought I may as will carry on a bit longer then my next milestone was turn 600 xD
XD this one time in MHGold, I played as the USSR from the start in 1933, I thought "eh, I won't finish the game" by the end of day, my arm was sore as hell, and the turn count was at 1,000 which is the most I've ever played. I just kept saying to myself every 100 turns, "Eh, I'll give it another 50, and then I'll stop" after those 50 were up "Eh, give it 100" "eh 200" "300"
Until I got to a 1,500 turn count O_o

That's pretty insane. My arm starts to ache quite painfully at the first hundred turns of the games when you are sorting everything out. Attempt to use my left arm to click and somehow fail this simple task

I have an animation tablet, so I'll be using a pen sometimes if my mouse starts to glitch up, but yeah. 1,500 is the most I've ever made it to (well, it wasn't exactly 1,500 but it was around there, like 1,49-something, or 1,50-something but you get it). You can't imaging the sheer amount of pain, my hand was in, it was sore all damned day, and then half of the next.
Now that I think of it, I probably lost a pound and a half from just clicking so many damned times.

Alright, all this time I've been playing the demo of HOI3. Which by the way, isn't nearly as good as the actual game. On the other hand, I just recently went all around the bay area to find a Gamestop or Bestbuy that had the game in shop, I found a gamestop that had it listed for $10 under the online price, so I bought it immidiately.
Installation takes a while, but the game itself, is nice. It has great 3D models, which reminded me ALOT of Making History, it has a nice world map, but I'd have to say the MH map is better than the HOI3 map. Even if the HOI3 map has hundreds of thousands of regions.. more like hexes. Proof.

But look at how sexy this map is.
The game itself, is extremely in-depth, and allows for the ultimate strategy, you appoint commanders for each individual Divsiion, and then appoint a commander for that Complete Army, then you appoint a commander to command every army in that individual front, which is divided according to your main HQ's. Each commander has their own bonuses that can prove useful to your troops in combat.
The production, well, it's realistic, but painfully realistic. Well, the game is real time, and is limited by Days, rather than turns, you can pause at any time to issue orders, but when you make a Panzer Group, you have to wait about a year (around 300 days) for that to complete.
Due to the massive amount of regions, the game is also surprisingly good if you want to try out some good 'ol military tactics, HOI3 is the only game I've seen besides HOI2 and MH2 that allows for such a type of military strategy.
The Verdict? Awesome Game, it's a great addition to any wargamer's arsenal.

The expasion of HOI3: Semper Fi, has a new scenario. Starting with the invasion of France in 1940.
Semper Fi altogether is a great expansion, not just because it has a new scenario. I actually still think the game is lacking in scenarios. They need some battle scenarios, Rebirth of the Ardennes Offensive FTW!
you did this thread wrong it should be HoI 2 VS MH2 because HoI 3 is just not that good and lags for me nearly as bad as MH2 which makes it unplayable because it doesn't have turns like MH2 and the time keeps on freezing every few seconds

Well... in all fairness at least HoI3 is playable and was given fairly solid reviews, in MH2's case it's still got severe performance issues and is just not a very good looking game, and they took the overall simplistic interface out of the game from the previous ones which just worked out beautifully for them. I really don't want to say MH2 was by far a bigger disappointment, but it really was. I've had more fun on HoI3 then I've ever had with MH2, after the last patch I've pretty much given up hope for them fine tuning the game in the next decade. Well I look forward to MH1.5
In my point of view they tried to make a new game where the last one just worked for them, they should have added just a few more units, made it easier to mod, and allow unit upgrades and more regions. They just ruined a good simple game that worked for them, in the future I suggest you make projects for the older MH1/MH Gold, mainly because I am sure you will make more money from your dedicated fan base, instead of disappointing them all.
