Excuse me, while I am trying to become good at Making History, I need some answers:

What would the first nation to play for a noob so he would apply his experience on other nations?

Perhaps the United States. You have the most resources and the best industry, so you'll be able to do a little experimenting. Or perhaps Germany, we're you can have some fun taking over every nation in sight. But for the love of God, do NOT play as Italy.

USA for easiness as its far away from the main areas of fighting (Europe and Asia) and has a good economy and infrastructure as well as good armed forces

Germany if you want to get into the action with enemies all around you but relatively easy to wage war and keep the economy going and not get annihilated

I've seen OliveBlackHawk go apeshit as China before... just wanted to say that, as I find China rather hard to play as.

Anyways, a great nation to start with is Germany if you really want to get the hang of land combat. If you want naval combat, play as UK. If you really want to get the hang of industrialization down, try the USSR. And if you want to get building armies down, play as the good 'ol USA. And if you want air force, Germany. If you really want to improve your defensive skills, definately go for France. If you want to test out your sneaky navy skills by using subs, Germany is perfect.

The United States though, by far, is one of the easiest nations to play definately. Seeing as the only person you have to worry about is Japan. Even then, Japan is still an ocean away, and the only real threatening attack they can carry out is if they take Alaska, or Hawaii. And Germany will be hunkered down by Britain's navy, so you dont have to worry about any transports leaving German occupied shores. And Germany's army can only threaten you if they happen to have a bunch of transports, and they cross the Bering straight and invade Alaska. But that is very unlikely. The USA doesn't start with a good Air Force, or Army, which makes the USA a good nation if you want to build shit from scratch. The USA also starts with the strongest industry in the game, in every (original) scenario. The best part of the USA, is that you can stay netural the entire game given the right circumstances, if you're a peace monger. So the USA could be all flowers, and cute little animals in the forests, and a complete paradise where life is perfect :) while at the same time, Europe, Africa, and Asia are all barren wastelands ridden with atomic blasts and panzer tanks, and the seas are ruled by japanese warships.
