A Germanic Tribe believed that Santa Klaus was a reformed daemon.
Great Britain only adopted Christmas trees after it adopted a German monarch, as this was a German tradition.
yes I know its the wrong time of year, I just really like Christmas :P
Everyone in the Middle Ages believed -- as Aristotle had -- that the heart was the seat of intelligence.
The first Christmas tree was Italian. Just saying.

The Armistice that ended WWI was typed back to front after a French clerk put the paper in the wrong way round. This was only discovered after it had been signed. What the hell did the Germans think they were signing?

"During World War II, Oscars were made of plaster due to the metals shortage. Winners were allowed to turn in the plaster statues for gold ones when the war ended."
