Since I haven't posted an AAR in a long time, I've decided to post one final AAR before MHII comes out. I will be using the form of newspaper headlines, and summaries inside "articles" of that fictional newspaper. So, it won't be like a normal AAR that I do where I just post a summary of what went on while I was playing, this will be rather different. Notice that some of the article headlines will indeed be in Russian. Or at least whatever correct parts of the Russian language that Google Translate can cough up. English translations are available below the Russian. Dont worry, it's only the headlines. Also, there are obviously certain accents in Romanized Russian, but I'm not completely sure if the forums will accept them. So the Russian will look strange sometimes to Russian speakers XD just letting you guys know. Also province names will also be in Russian, translations will be provided.

I will be playing in 1936, The Limits of Peace. Normal difficulty, Fog on, and Partisans on. I will also be using Ideology Power Points, just to spice up my strategies and whatnot :P

Prologue:

Grazhdanskaya voina v Ispanii!

Civil war in Spain!

Civil war has broken out in Spain. Fascists have risen to power of a new Nationalist Spain, and they threaten the Ideological balance of power in Europe. Germany and Italy are planning to provide support to the Nationalists, and this will only prove another enemy for the glorious union. We are now building troops, tanks, aircraft, and arms so we can properly aid the Republican Government. Aiding a democratic government will definately bring up relations with France and Britain, which we need.

Ugroza Vostoke.

Threat to the East.

Recent expansionist actions by the Empire of Japan, most notably in Manchuria in 1931, is a threat to our Eastern borders. Japan also seems to be mustering troops around Western Manchuria, which we suspect is for an eventual invasion of China. If such a thing is to happen, the Red Army will enhance defensive positions along the Manchurian, and Sinkiang border. You can never be too careful.

Natsional'nye meropriyatiya.

National Events.

A large scale modernization of the USSR is being undertaken. Agriculture, Infrastructure, and Industry improvments are all currently in progress. Over the next year and a half, there should be some great improvements of our great nation. Transports and a small escort purpose navy are being constructed in Leningrad. Russia might join the Spanish Civil War soon, on the Republican Side.

Edit:

Part 1 is done, but I still need to upload the screenshot to imageshack. The screenshot will be of the Spring War, which is a part of the AAR.

I keep trying to post part 1, but it keeps giving me that "Server Error 500" I think it might be some accents in the Russian language that I forgot to remove, but I doubt it because I'm sure I deleted all of them :(

Edit:

Nevermind, I actually did forget to remove an accent XD I'll try posting again

Edit2:

Damn still wont posts, keeps giving the 500 error :P maybe the post is too long?

Edit3:

Part 1: Warning, big ass wall of text ahead, lifeguard not on duty, read at own risk.

July, 1936:

Voina!

War!

The USSR has declared war on Nationalist Spain, and has formed the Soviet Alliance with Republican Spain! Troops are getting ready to board the boats and head off to the Republican coast. Russian troops are eager to take their first bite of combat!

Industrializatsiya usiliya, napravlennye na desyatiletiya vysoki!

Industrialization efforts at decade high!

The Russian "no city left behind" program is being put into place as cities, large and small, are now beginning to Industrially expand, and build new factories for Goods, Arms, and more! Such efforts have resulted in a high in industrialization since a decade.

Biznes protsvetaet!

Business is booming!

The Russian economy has improved alot since the massive modernization efforts took place, Russia now has no need for importing Food, Goods, Arms, or Oil. All resource efforts are maximized, and we are making millions off of exporting resources! The income is titanic, with national income above 1 Billion USD!

September, 1936:

Vyidya na front!

Out on the frontlines!

Soldiers of the Red Army of the Soviet Union landed in Catalonia late last month, and are currently seeing their first combat in the Spanish Civil War. The Russian 1-i ekspeditsionnyi otryad (First Expeditionary Unit) is currently fighting in Aragon, in Northern Spain. The 2-i ekspeditsionnoii gruppy (Second Expeditionary Unit) will arrive in Catalonia, to support Republican Troops fighting in Kastiliya (Castile) for Madrid. Balyearskie ostrova (The Balearic Islands) was liberated earlier this month.

Vozmozhnaya voina s Germaniyei?

Possible war with Germany?

Early this month, Germany declared an embargo on the USSR after the liberation of Balyearskie ostrova (The Belearic Islands). This embargo has cost the USSR alot of it's coal, and the balance is now just barely intact, with only 6 units being produced per turn, industrialization is costing alot of coal for Russia, and this embargo literally sets Soviet and German relations ablaze. This could very well lead to another war in Europe which would destroy the little threads there are left which are holding that peace together.

November, 1936

Voina vyigrana!

The war is won!

Late October, Russian and Republican troops recently held a military parade through the streets of Burgos to celebrate a job well done during the war. Small pockets of Nationalist troops still remain, and soon they will all be wiped out. We have won the war, and the Pervyi i vtoroi ekspeditsionnoi yedinits (1st and 2nd Expeditionary Units) are now headed to La-Korun'ya (La Coruna) to liberate it from Nationalist hands.

Zapadnoii stene.

The western wall.

This month, extensive planning was begun for a massive defencive system to run all the way from Baltiiskoe more (The Baltic Sea), and the border of Estoniya (Estonia) all the way south to the border of Rumyniya (Romania) and Chernoe more (the black sea). Construction begins as soon as possible.

January, 1937

Vsego pobedy!!

Total victory!

The war was completely won today, as the last nationalist forces were routed from Ispanskoe Marokko (Spanish Morocco). Victory parades are taking place in Moskva (Moscow), and Madrid later this month. The Pervyi i vtoroi ekspeditsionnoi yedinits (1st and 2nd Expeditionary Units) are awaiting the Chernomorskiii flot (Black Sea Fleet) to escort them home from Valensiya (Valencia)

Slava Krasnoi Armii!

Glory of the Red Army!

Pervogo i vtorogo ekspeditsionnogo yedinits (The first and second expeditionary units) are now the glory of the red army, having successfully helped in winning the Spanish Civil War for both Republican Spain, and the USSR. Once they arrive home in Sevastopol' (Sevastopol), they will be greeted by hundreds of citizens and Soviet troops, who will praise them for the good they've done.

Postoyanno al'yans?

Continuing the alliance?

After the Spanish civil war ended, the premier of the USSR had a dilemma. The original Soviet Alliance was between the USSR and Republican Spain, to unite to fight against Nationalist Spain, and nothing else. Now that the war is over, relations have improved even more between Spain and Russia, but there is no more need to keep that Alliance. However, it can't be wrong to keep that alliance, there would be many benefits from Spain, such as resource, and military support from Russia if anything should go wrong.

March. 1937

Vesna voiny.

The Spring War.

Earlier this month, the USSR demanded the Romania give up the eastern Romanian owned province of Bessarabiya (Bessarabia) to the Soviet Union. When Romania refused, the NKVD ordered Russian armies in the area to move to the border of Romania. When Romania still refused, the USSR declared war on Romania. Which resulted in no opposition from any outside country. This came as a suprise to the Soviet Premier.

End of part 1.

Yeah, I was bogged down for a bit in Bessarabia, but that was a mistake on my part, I underestimated their reserves, they ended up bringing in at least 200 combat power points total, I ended up sending a couple armies at about 300 power to take care of it, and they eventually couldn't bear all my forces. I just steamrolled them after that. The strangest part was that there was no response from any nation at all, I expected at least Hungary to embargo or something, I guess not. And Germany already embargoed me.

Are there any ideas of what I should do next? I'm basicly just sitting around waiting for a good war to start off. Like, Germany and Poland, or Czechoslovakia, or Japan and China.

No other comments? That's mainly why I haven't posted or continued onto part 2.

Also, I'm just going to port this over to MHII.
