Question about mh2

I always love strategy games, but turn-based strategy games need to have a hotseat function. I do not understand why you want us to give suggestions if you guys just don't listen to us.

I hope for you, developers, that you will make more succes with new games etc.

I know it is not impossible to do that in mh2... It would also attract people to buy the game: I will not buy game the same as mh1 with only some grafic improvements, slower turns and no hotseat.

I'm sorry the game does not include hotseat -- we have been focused on our web based multiplayer. Give it a try when we launch it in August!

This is epic truth, I am still kind of scratching my head at why MHII was even released it was one of my biggest gaming disappointments in quite a while, the interface is ugly and lost its simplicity which attracted quit a bit of people, the graphics are an huge upgrade, I didn't know graphics were such a big deal in a Grand Strategy game. All in all I will stick with the older games, I don't have about 10 minutes to wait for a 3 player game to start up in lan, I would much rather play Gold and be just getting on turn 10 in MP, MHII is possibly one of the worst games I have ever seen run, even on great and fantastic PC's it takes a while to get through the turns.

We hear you and are continuing to work to improve MHII. The performance issues have improved a great deal (with more improvements in the next update) and we have been working to make the interface more streamlined and efficient. Thanks for being a customer (several times over).

Personally, I see MHII as a better game than usual. I've skimmed over this topic before, but to me MHII is more of an achievement: the devs said it was going to get better, and it has.

I would be right there agreeing with you 100% we were still in post-launch stages. At that time, MH2 took very long to load, turns were slow, and the game - in general - lagged a ton. I may not have the greatest computer, and that's probably why it still lags slightly on my computer, but the performance has increased A LOT. The game overall is getting better with every patch is released.

The only problem remaining is the multiplayer. From what I heard from you, the synchronization is terrible, where you were on turn 10, where others were still on turn 3 or something like that. However, from my knowledge, the new sandstone multiplayer games are going to be hosted from the MH servers, so literally ANYONE can host, and synchronization shouldn't be a problem.

I haven't really had any complaints against the interface, though it could be a little better on telling me what's going on in the world. I liked the layout of the MH1 and MHGold interface better, but other that that, layout is my only complaint at this point.

On my computer MH2 runs as MHGold does, but with more lag. Which luckily isn't alot. Like I said before, it's significantly improved overtime, and Muzzy has been hard at work to keep improving it. Still MH2 is a very random game regarding performance. I've seen people with much better computers than me, complaining about getting more lag than I am. Which, makes no sense, especially when they have a better computer. Very random indeed.
