Forum errors
said on Jul 29, 2010 at 04:27 PM

There seems to be errors happening on the forum for me. Don't know about anyone else

The ones I am on about are:

The orange highlighted threads indicating an unread thread doesn't disappear after you have read the thread.

In the MH1 and Gold edition scenarios section at the bottom of the threads a lot of overlapping is going on with avatars, posts and the copyright at the bottom##I can't report a bug as I get a server error.

New comments section on the front page don't load either

I've much of the same problems, whenever I read new posts, the orange new post image doesn't change and all kinds of crap is out of place all over, most recently I noted at the War for Oil thread.

I saw the spinning circle object for loading and it never loads.

The errors were on my brothers computer which is Windows 7 64-bit and browser was Firefox 3.6.8.

On my laptop after the errors I encountered the aforementioned errors now don't happen.

The errors I have encountered on my laptop consist of two so far

On is to get the server error on the specific thread of Missing flags thread in Making History other assets

The other is on the forum main page unread threads aren't highlighted in orange but when I click on a sub section the threads not read are in orange

On my laptop I have Windows 7 32-bit and Firefox 4.0 beta 1. It's strange the beta Firefox doesn't have the problems :P.

Edit: My brothers laptop now doesn't display orange unread threads on the main page. But when you go onto a sub section the unread threads are orange and go white after I have read them

Also there is no overlapping errors occurring anymore.

The only errors now is the main page of the forum not highlighting unread threads in sub sections orange occurring on both my laptop and my brothers computer and the spinning circle load image never loads for recent comments on my brothers laptop

The recent comments not getting loaded on the main page looks to be a browser caching problem. It sounds like you have an old javascript file, if you refresh the page it should update.

I have the problem with the showing of new posts in a forum section. I have this problem for like 2 days and refreshing doesn't help :/

Refreshing the page doesn't work. Neither does restarting the browser or closing the browser and starting the browser up again

I've been having almost the exact oppostie problem. Apparenrtly, when new posts are made in a certain section, the thing that would normally turn orange to alert of a new post remains white, so I've been totally ignorant of a lot of conversation going on for awhile now.

The problem (of posts not appearing new and vice versa) appears to have been fixed! Thanks Muzzy!

Not a huge error but when you post in a thread and go to the main forum part the subsection you were in will be highlighted orange but when you go into the subsection all the new threads have been read. This is only when posting so it must think I haven't seen my own post :P

The thread itself isn't orange but the overall subsection on the main forum page is

After your posts reaches a certain length it doesn't seem to be editable after submitting said post. How come the new implementation for deleting posts leaves a post removed remark? I thought it was better that it was removed completely without a notification saying the poster had posted something then deleted it. I say this as I had to delete three posts in the same thread one after another (because of not being able to edit one post I accidentally posted it three times) and it looks like I did something really bad xD

Edit: This all works now
