I have been following this game for a while and am wondering whether the graphics will be worked on.This whole game looks very pixellated on looking at the various screenshots, I assume they are representational of the game. I cant even make out what half of the sprites are meant to represent, especially the cities. I also wondoer if perhaps a bit of shadow would do wonders for improving the whole 3d look of the map which looks very flat at the moment.
As far as a purchase this game is now up against Civ 5 for me and at the moment has to be said Civ 5 wins hands down in the appearance stakes but not necessarily in the gameplay.I bet there are a lot of people waiting to buy this game being put off by the look of it.
I was quite impressed with the first game - although it was a bit too simplistic for me. But the look of that game was spot on. Such as shame that this one may well have the gameplay features but not the attractiveness of the first game.

The graphics are MUCH improved in the new patches they've installed. This game is a LITTLE buggy, but the devs at ML are constantly adding new features, and improving old ones based off of user input. I highly recommend this over Civ 5.

Well after downloading the latest demo cant say I agree with you. I looked at a demo a few months ago when it first came out and to me it looks absolutely no different. I cant possibly play a game that looks so ..well...pants, sorry to be rude if there are any developers watching! The game looks worse than games I used to play in the 1980s never mind todays games. I know its a small time developer and all but I cant play a game that I dont like the look of from the first screen. Like I said in the HOI3 forums about that game which also looks horrible (coincidence?) - the developers really need to hire a graphic artist to enhance the look of the game.
But its very surprising how the first game looks so nice? Is it done by the same people?

I don't seem to be having the same graphics problem you're having, they seem to be good to me, I can see sprites and other images just fine.

Make sure your model set is at 'full' And that it is at high resolution
