Hi guys, I m new here. But I play this game, it is great. And I want to know if it is possible to introduce for every single division in game the number of effectives (for example: 1°infanterie div. :10000 soldiers) and then when you play a battle you also see the number of soldiers fighting instead of just the number of divisions( 240000 vs 320000 ). Then it would be great if you also introduce the possibility of increase the number of effectives of any division during the game...for example I want to create an elite division from my beloved 1°infanterie div. and to do this I decide to rise the number of his effectives from 10000 to 15000 soldiers!! In the end I want to know if it is possible the creation of a real division, what I mean is: during the second world war every division had also artillery, tanks and anti-tanks units...
thank you for the attention, I hope to read an affermative answer lol :-)
p.s. I don t know if it is the right place to write my thread, sorry if I mistake

Wow. Imagine the numbers that would be displayed for some of the superstack combats: "7.6 million versus 8.5 million."

Yes it would be exiting!!
I hope the developers fulfill my desire soon :-)
but "3.1 million versus 8.5 million." were the real numbers of the WWII in the east front...
and it should be introduced also a system to calculate the numbers of death that should influence the stability and the moral values of a nation and it also should be a sort of limit to the size of a nation's army (if Italy has 45million of population it could have just 8 million soldiers)
I wait your answers admins!!!!!lol

I like the idea of a limit to the size of armed forces based on population; this is I think supposed to be modelled by the MPU requirements for building a unit but this doesnt seem to work realistically at the moment as I always end up with more MPUs than I can use towards the end of the game...
I agree with you but I think that MPUs are the free manpower (used for every economic and military activities which don t include military service). In fact they rise fast when you conquest new territories...
Then I want to add another suggestion regarding armored divisions...I know that during the war every division had at about 200 tanks, some mechanized infantry companies and a mobile artillery company...so the developers should introduce in the statistic of every armoured division the number of tanks, soldiers and artillery and then the possibility of changing during the game these numbers (obviously with a cost in terms of population, arms or research)...
Finally I noticed that in the game you can rename a division but not the army...could you give us the possibility of change the name of an army??
thanks a lot for the attention

@Rommel If you are going to look that closely at a tank division, then you will get all tangled up with Combined Arms. That tank division was generally NOT homogeneous. That is, those 200-300 tanks were generally NOT all the same make and model. A German tank division, for instance could have one regiment of Panzer IIIs, a second regiment of Panzer IVs, and and third regiment of Panther Vs. Then the support battalions could be PKws (Mechanized Infantry), an assortment of Mortars, Light, Medium, and Heavy Machineguns,..... and on and on and on. Once you start tracking the divisional components, you move drastically away from Grand Strategic (which MH2 is supposed to be) and it turns into Avalon Hill's The Longest Day (a game that only a micromanager can love).

Probably you are right but I think that the introduction of the number of tanks or of soldiers of each division would be interesting...for example for the possibility of create an army based on the real possibility of a nation....
It doesn't seem so difficult to add this idea to the side of the existant battle calculator (that is based on division and not on the number of soldiers in the army or division)...
