There are several differences in the world of this scenario. One of the biggest ones is that the Mexican-American War never occured. As a result, Mexico still controls the regions it had lost during the war, as well as numerous Central American possesions. Mexico even owns British Honduras and Jamacia as a result of the British-Mexican War of 1893. However, some Central American countries have rebelled against Mexico. Democratic reforms have convince Mexico not to do anything thus far, The United States never became an Imperialist power (Though it did win territory from Canada in a short-lived conflict between the two nations), so all American overseas territories are controlled by other nations. The US Virgin Islands by Denmark, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Phillipenes by Spain, Hawaii by Mexico (They had a minor interest in overseas expansion), Russia Alaska, and the United Kingdom all others. The Panama Canal was still built, but by France rather than the US. However, they provided direct military support to Panama, invading Colombia. France gained control of Colombia and the Panama Canal Zone, and Panama itself was granted full independence. Spain also owns Cuba. When World War 1 broke out, Italy immediatley betrayed the Central Powers by joining the Allies. The Allies themselves had been better prepared. With American and Mexican help, the Central Powers fell. The Allies had been more harsh on the Central Powers than in real life. Germany lost more territories, and a Saxon Government was established just to piss them off. Russia also gained some land from what we know as Turkey. Italy gained some land in Yugoslavia. The Russian Revolution still occured, but after the war, in response to an Economic Depression. At present, hard fighting still goes on in China, despite the Japanese Invasion of Manchuria. In the Southern Phillipenes, a large-scale Fillipino Revolt against Spain has occured. Meanwhile, tensions rise in Europe. With this new historical setting, what is going to happen?

This is a great scenario!

I really want to play this but I can't download it. When I try to extract it an error message always pops up saying that it can't create a directory for Afghanistan.

Where are you trying to extract it to?

The "scenarios" folder under "system" in "Modern Europe". This has worked before for other scenarios, but for some reason now it doesn't, and not just for this scenario. I think it might have something to do with a new version of WinZIP?

Maybe you can try extracting it to your desktop and manually placing it in the scenarios folder or something and see if you get different results.
